Meet The Team

Liz AKA "Night Owl" is a Wilderness First Responder, a Leave No Trace Trainer, and certified in CPR.  She completed an Appalachian Trail Northbound thru-hike in 2025 and is excited to share her love of the AT with you.  Liz enjoys hiking and exploring The AT, The SHT, The Ice Age Trail (IAT), and Yellowstone National Park.  When she's not guiding, she's usually planning her next road trip with her husband and dogs; trying to visit all 50 states by 2030.  She also enjoys boating and water sports on Lake Michigan with friends and family. 

Nicole AKA "Droplet", grew up in central Illinois and had always been an avid hiker and camper.  She was a high school science teacher for nine years, always looking forward to the summers when she could spend time traveling, camping, fishing, gardening, bird watching, and exploring the outdoors.  In 2022, she took a leave of absence from her teaching career to backpack the Appalachian Trail, over 2,000 miles, through 14 states and extending all the way from Georgia to Maine. Anne is a certified Wilderness First Responder and passionate adventurer with a lifelong love for the outdoors.  Whether it is rock climbing, hiking, kayaking, snowboarding, or yoga, Anne always finds a reason to get outside.  She is a 500-HR certified Yoga Instructor and teaches regularly at local studios.  She is excited to share her yoga expertise on hiking retreats so hikers can relax, stretch, and meditate with her guidance. 

Andi is a certified Wilderness First Responder and CPR certified.  She's a member of her local ski patrol and is OEC certified.  She enjoys spending time canoeing in the Boundary Waters and safety is her expertise!  Andi likes scouting and hiking The Superior Hiking Trail and is currently working on creating a SHT women's slackpacking trip for Trail Dog & Co that will be rolled out in 2026.
