June 10th Day Hike in Newport State Park

Service Description

Enjoy the beauty of Door County on this guided day hike! This is a 10.3 mile loop that should take us about 3-4 hours based on breaks and lunch duration. It is considered an easy trail and there is a slight elevation gain of 209 feet throughout the hike. While hiking, your guide will teach you the Seven Principles of Leave No Trace so you can incorporate them into future hikes. You’ll also learn the history of Newport State Park and Door County. We’ll enjoy lunch along the beach of Europe Bay and take in the tranquil views. Throughout the hike, you can expect some scenic lake views, dense forest views, and sandy beaches.
